2023 is going to be a great year when it comes to video games, especially on consoles such as PlayStation and Xbox. Some of these games are continuations in a series while the others are stand-alone games with the kind of storylines to keep you hooked. Living in the age of the internet, we now have the ability to buy games online and download them onto our PC or console.

To download games, you need a fast internet connection like Xfinity, for instance, so that you could download your game as fast as possible.

Here are some games to look forward to in 2023, be sure to play them as soon as they drop so that you don’t miss out on the experience:

Hogwarts Legacy

Almost all of us have grown up being Potterheads or partial Potterheads. We’ve either read the books or we’ve grown up watching the movies. Even though there have been a lot of Harry Potter video games, including the Lego version, there is one that is coming soon that everyone is looking forward to. Hogwarts Legacy doesn’t really have Harry in it since it explores a time before Harry but the magic is still all there. You get to witness the events before the birth of Harry Potter and you can do all sorts of fun stuff in the game.

One thing different about Hogwarts Legacy is that just like inFAMOUS, it gives you a sense of morality by letting you decide that do you want to be a good witch or wizard or you want to be an evil one, based on the decisions you make in the game. You can cast all sorts of spells in the game which even include the three unforgivable curses, the cruciatus curse, the imperius curse, and the instantly murdering spell.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom

Do you remember the time when Breath of the Wild was released and it took the entire world by storm? It was one of the best Zelda games because of how immersive the gameplay was and the open-world setting of the game. Tears of the Kingdom will serve as the sequel to Breath of the Wild and it has even won the Most Anticipated Game Award.

The game was set to release in 2022 but was delayed to 2023, adding to the anticipation of fans all over the world. It will continue the story of Breath of the Wild, which is why people are eager to find out what will happen next. So stay tuned and wait until 2023 to find out what happens ahead as Link progresses through the story.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League

Who do you send to save the day if the entire Justice League goes rogue? You send the Suicide Squad of course. Picture this, you have all your popular villains from Batman and other DC superhero movies and they join forces to save humanity from Justice League after they’ve gone berserk.

In the game, the Justice League has been corrupted by Brainiac who has completely brainwashed all the superheroes so that he could take over the world. In the game, you can play as Harley Quinn, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, and King Shark. The best part about this game is that this was Kevin Conroy’s final performance as Batman before he passed away in November 2022. The game also works as a tribute to Kevin since this was the last time we got to hear him as Batman.

Final Fantasy XVI

Final Fantasy games rarely let their fans down, we could see that in the past couple of years with the release of Final Fantasy XV and the Final Fantasy VII Remake. The next game in line is Final Fantasy XVI which is set to release in 2023. The game has more of a European Gothic theme rather than a futuristic theme. It revolves around a man named Clive who finds himself in a war that also includes the powerful Eikons (powerful summons). The game will have a challenging gameplay and combat system, which will make the game itself quite an experience.

If you have been a fan of the Final Fantasy games, then this is one that you should really look forward to since the trailer shows that the game is going to be very promising and it might even be a must-have game.

Marvel’s Spider-Man 2

You got a game with Peter Parker and later you got a game with Miles Morales as the lead. You might be wondering what’s next. A game with both the “Spider-Men” of course. Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is one of the most anticipated games of 2023 since people are assuming that you would have the option to play as both Peter and Miles.

The game introduces Kraven the Hunter as the villain along with Venom, which we won’t tell who Venom is since that might spoil the plot for Spider-Man for you.

Wrapping Up

These are some of the games you should look forward to in 2023, so be sure to save up enough to get the most of these games!
