***Update 1 – 2015-08-07 – 11:10 CEST***
When I first wrote about Blizzards new expansion (World of Warcraft Legion First) and that they would showcase the game at Gamescom, people were skeptical about whether or not Blizzard would show any actual gameplay footage from the expansion. Well, they did. And not only did Blizzard show a gameplay video for World of Warcraft: Legion First, they also showcased a cinematic trailer as well. However, one must ask him or herself if this will be enough to stop people from leaving World of Warcraft? Because Wow has lost over 1.5 million subscribers in just three months (Wow has about 5.6 million subscribers now).
Let´s hope that´s the case, because even though I don´t play Wow myself. It would be really sad if Wow just died. As for “World of warcraft legion first”, Blizzard is yet to reveal a release date for the expansion. However, Blizzad did state in their press release that the Legion First beta is set for a launch by the end of this year.
And, this is what Wow: Legion First is said to offer:
– New continent: The broken isles
– Adventure to level 110
– New dungeon and raids
– New honor system
– Artifact weapons
– Class order halls
– New hero class: Demon hunter
“The Burning Legion has returned, and the heroes of Azeroth are being called to the Broken Isles to continue their adventures. Attempting to drive the Legion back will take players to level 110, have them wielding powerful Artifact Weapons, progressing through a new PvP Honor system, gathering with their brothers and sisters in Class Orders, and even choosing a new character class altogether: the Demon Hunter.”

Blizzard has just revealed that they will showcase the new World of Warcraft expansion at Gamescom, Germany next week (on the 6th of August, 9 a.m. PDT). That´s great news for the Wow community of course, but I still wonder whether Blizzard will be able to bring back all the players who have left Wow or not? (Wow has dropped millions of players over the years). However, Wow are still a Mmorpg beast on the market (even though it´s been 11 years since Wow got released). So I bet that there are quite a few Wow players who are really excited to see what Blizzard got in store for them at Gamescom (like Athene for example, as he has returned to Wow again).
I also bet that cosplayers such as Amanda Stackhouse are really eager to find out what the new Wow expansion is all about as well. So don´t forget to tune into Blizzards live stream at Gamescom on the 6th of Agust at 9 a.m. PDT!
