I got some good news to share with all you action and adventure fans out there, because Rose City Games just informed us that their narrative driven/action-adventure/puzzle-battler game “The World Next Door” is coming to PAX West 2018 (“The World Next Door” is a part of the indie megabooth):

“Hi! our narrative driven / action-adventure / puzzle-battler The World Next Door will be at PAX this year! We’re part of Indie MEGABOOTH, showing off a new demo featuring updated art and animation, an overhauled battle system, new friends, new enemies, and new areas. – Rose City Games

Jun (the girl with the mask) is the main character of “The World Next Door”. Well, you sure can really tell that she’s a rebellious teen girl.

That’s great news for action/adventure fans with no doubt, but what exactly is “The World Next Door” all about then? Well, here’s what’s known about the game so far:

“The World Next Door is a narrative-driven, action-adventure game that follows Jun, a rebellious teen girl trapped in a parallel world inhabited by magical creatures. Inspired by the emotional storytelling and thrilling action of both anime and indie games, players can expect to meet and develop friendships with an eclectic cast of characters while uncovering the mysteries hidden within this world. COMING SOON TO PC, MAC, AND MAYBE MORE!”

There will be plenty of action-heavy puzzle battles moments in The World Next Door, and by the looks if, there seem to be boss fights as well.

As for features, here are some of the said launch features for “The World Next Door”:

– A supernatural, story driven game with action-heavy puzzle battles
– Branching dialogue and reputation systems that affect your relationships with characters in the game
– Fast-paced real-time puzzle battles; activate runes to cast spells and defeat opponents to advance the story

“The world next door” is currently in development for Windows and MAC. However, the game “might” land on other formats in the future.
