I´m not 100% sure how the American law system works. But i´m somewhat sure that you could get sued, IF you´re a famous (*read* public figure) and you feel that you´ve been defamed (violated). And as we all know, it´s a big no-no to criticize Anita Sarkeesian in any kind of way.
In fact, it has gone so far. That it´s almost impossible to even write (or talk) about her (if it´s not a positive article, movie and so on). Without getting labeled as a “women hater” or “internet harrasser“.
And that makes me wonder. Because this morning i saw a parody video of Anita Sarkeesian (“Becoming Sarkeesian”) by Evan Delshaw. And i just thought for myself “Could Evan end up getting sued for this?”
Considering the fact how infected the debate climate is at the moment. Who knows, one thing is for sure though. There will be one side that will hate the video, and one side that will love it.
So which side are you?
