Last night i (Robin Ek) noticed a huge spike in traffic on our site. In fact, we beat all of our previous records. To be exact, we had over 1,000 unique visitors yesterday (we aim to have 1K unique visits per day).
So i started to look into it, as i wanted to know the reason behind the huge traffic boost. Well, i found the answer to my own question just now. It was thanks to a Reddit post called “Big Boobs and Gaming“.
Because apparently, Jekkie62 brought up our post “Lionhead Studios deleted their #NationalCleavageDay tweet” in her post at Reddit (thank you very much for that Jekkie62!).
And as her thread (Big boobs and Gaming) is dedicated to female cleavage of the bigger sort. It has casued some contriversy since the thread started.
And if you´re a a Gamer and an active Twitter user. Then you probably heard of the “Brianna Wu Vs Lionhead Studios” conflict just recently?
If not, the whole thing started with a #NationalCleavageDay tweet by Lionhead Studios. That featured a woman with “larger assets” holding some beer jars (the picture down below).
And the female dev Brianna Wu took the lead instantly and demanded the removal of the #NationalCleavageDay tweet. And naturally.
It diden´t take all that long for Wu to gather an angry mob of SJW´s and feminists to force Lionhead to remove that tweet for good.
Here´s the thing though. Women comes in all sizes, colors and shapes. And that seems to be something which miss Wu haven´t thought all that much about.
And that´s something which Jekkie62 pointed out in her Reddit post. So i added a part of her comment down below (it´s not the whole post. But you get the idea):
“I (Jekkie62) guess this isn’t the best place to put it, I dunno. I guess I just wanted to post here and see if any other big boob ladies can relate. So- I have big boobs. I’ve always had them. If I would have been in a proper sized bra in middle school I’m pretty sure I would’ve been around a 30G. Nowadays I’m hanging around 30JJ/30K. I love my boobs and I wouldn’t change them for the world.
I also love gaming. It’s fun, it’s relaxing it’s fiction. It’s a getaway from life. I also LOVE when there are people who I can relate to in the game. I love seeing characters with large breasts and bottoms, because that’s what I look like.
If a lot of you don’t know there’s been a lot of anger towards devs and some of the characters they create mostly women with larger assets. It’s getting to the point where you apparently can’t even tweet a pic of a large breasted woman on national cleavage day without getting people angry.” Jekkie62 via Big Boobs/Reddit
So the point would be this. Should devs no longer be allowed to create female characters (NPC´s or playble one´s) with larger assets? (as it might offend some people).
And should real life women (that just happen to have large breats) be worried about offending people, simply by existing in the “real” world as we know it?
What do you guys/girls think about this? Feel free to comment on the subject down below!
