There´s quite a few zombie and monster FPS games that will battle over our money and time this year. We got Yager´s “Dead Island 2” (which is set for a Spring release”), Turtle Rock Studios “Evolve“.
Then we got my personal favourite, Techland´s “Dying Light” (which is set for a release on the 30th of January for PC, PS4 and Xbox One).
Which imo, is a game that makes Dead Island look like a really ugly alpha production. Pretty much everything has been improved in Dying Light, and i mean EVERYTHING.
Dying Light is like a mix of the best parts of “Dead Island” (an open zombie apocalypse world), “Left 4 Dead” (the “special” infected mini-bosses) and “Dead Rising” (you can create some really crazy weapons).
But just like always, there can only be ONE number 1. So it´s going to be really interesting to see which game that will dominate the market between Dead Island 2, Evolve and Dying Light.
I´m beting my money on Dying Light though. But for now, it´s going to be a fight between “Evolve” (10th of February) and “Dying Light” (30th January).
About Dying Light:
Dying Light is an action survival game presented in first-person perspective. The game is set in a vast and dangerous open world. During the day, you roam an urban environment devastated by a mysterious epidemic, scavenging for supplies and crafting weapons to help you defeat the hordes of mindless, flesh-hungry enemies the plague has created.
At night, the hunter becomes the prey as the infected grow in strength and aggression – but even more lethal are the nocturnal, inhuman predators that leave their nests to feed. You will need to make use of all your skills and any available means to survive till dawn.
