I have seen quite a few disaster releases and launch days for PC and console games over the years. But i have to say that Sony Online Entertainment has had one of THE worst game launchs that i´ve seen in the past 10 years.

I´m of course talking about their  zombie survival MMO “H1Z1” (for PC and PS4). And I’m not exaggerating this one tiny bit. Because the early access launch for H1Z1 for PC (it got release on Steam last Thursday) the  was a fu**ing dissaster.

And i can understand why so many H1Z1 players are really angry at the moment. Because they feel both ripped off and lied to. Pay 2 win, micro transactions, tons of bugs and very poor gameplay value.

That’s not exactly the recipe for a GOTY title in my book.

H1Z1

This was probarly how most of the H1Z1 players looked (and feelt) when they played H1Z1 on the launch day…

And it doesen´t matter if you read comments on H1Z1´s Steam page, or any of the H1Z1´s videos (Youtube or Twitch). It won´t take you long before you realize that there´s tons and tons of angry and disappointed H1Z1 players out there.

And that thing about the “airdrop supplies”, that´s the stupidest thing that i ever heard. It´s not even logic. I mean, why would anyone drive around with an airplane and waste both fuel and precious supplies on total strangers?

And why the hell do you (as player) have to PAY to get an airdrop? Like, really?

The only way that i see that Sony Online Entertainment can turn this launch/pr-nightmare around, is to take all the negative feedback from the players, and turn it into something good (fix ALL of the problems, bugs and so on).

Sure, you can get a full refound if you´re not happy with the “airdrop” feature. But still, the damage is already done. But don’t take my word for it. Just checkout some of these comments:

“Oh. Look. Another blatantly lying developer.
“No pay 2 win!”
takes money
“Just kidding. This is pay 2 win.”
Cool scam. Another disappointment. Not surprising really. Better luck next time.” – billyboyjennings

“Originally the Sony promised the ONLY purchasable items would be cosmetics.

“We will NOT be selling Guns, Ammo, Food, Water… i.e. That’s kind of the whole game and it would suck in our opinion if we did that.” Which is exactly what a CRATE or AIRDROP is… Crates drop right in front of you, AirDrop is nearby.

You can crap in a toilet, or poop on a sidewalk, and dookie in the forest. Smed can call it whatever he wants, and some people may agree with him, while others will disagree. But in the end, everyone is still going to call it “♥♥♥♥”, because it is exactly what it is.

I asked for a Refund, because he went back on his word (even if you disagree, IT STILL PARTIALLY paying for a item to win)….. so even partially is enough for me to honestly have no regrets asking for a refund and telling Smed to F OFF.

Cause if he is willing to do this now, then in the long end he will definitely be turning this into P2W? So ask yourself, with Sonys reputation of turning games P2W are you going to risk that? Some of you will argue, and that is fine.

You have a right to your own opinion. Neither mine or yours is right, but I am still allowed to have mine and you can have yours. Insults or telling me I don’t know anything just proves how small minded you are and how little you know of me and my Background in the gaming community.

Good Luck, Have Fun, and remember everyone has a right to an opinion. Just because you disagree with it does not mean it is wrong. We all have our ideas of what we want in a game……we all have different tastes in games.

EDIT: Side note…. Over the life time of 7 Days to Die a little over 2600 Negative reviewes. For H1Z1 on the first day for negative reviews a little over 2300.

“Yes, i realize it is early access and fairly undeveloped, but until they flesh out a ton of game breaking bugs, avoid at all cost.
1. Starvation simulator. You are full at 8am, by midnight that same night you are starving to death.
2. Loot just isn’t implemented enough at all. Wandering for several hours and finding nothing is not fun.
3. Latency. Laggy laggy laggy.
4. No map. Realism can get bent. No map makes it next to impossible to play with friends.
5. No group system. Again, makes it a pain in the ♥♥♥ to play with friends.
6. Ugly, boring, muted very brown colored game. I hate to say this, but war z/ISS looks miles better.” – AdmiralJack

“Honestly regret buying this game so much. It is a bad knockoff version of nether, without all the fun aspects of nether. There is absolutely no loot, the crafting system isn’t that great, the map is basic, and respawning in the forest all the time with nothing to do but look for a town for 30 minutes.

In 3 hours of game, I found one rifle, one axe and one bottle of water. No ammo, so got killed by the first angry mob of player. There is absolutely no loot at all, and I understand now why there is a need for airdrops… because the game sucks and there is no loot, so they make people pay for it!

only cheap laugh I got was when I ran around with 2 new friends I jsut made, and we were all screming and running after a deer. We punched it to death. Nothing lootable on the corpse anyways.

Terrible game, do not buy.”JAGON

So, what do you guys think about all of this? Are you cool with H1Z1? Or do you feel ripped off?
