I really love the fact that the games that i really, REALLY want to play, always ends up being cancelled in the end (Fallout Online and S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 to name a few).
I had really high hopes for Darkside Game Studios card-based action/strategy Xbox One game “Phantom Dust” (which was shown at E3 last summer). But no, there has been “some” changes to the original game plan.
Because Microsoft is no longer working with Darkside Game Studios. There might still be some hope though.
As Microsoft has stated that they will continue to develop “Phantom Dust” (even though Darkside Games ain´t a part of the mix anymore).
This does not necessarily has to be a bad thing though. But it all depends on WHO Microsoft brings in as the new dev team for reboot version of “Phantom Dust” (that will make or break the project for sure).
And Microsoft refuses to comment on why they ended their collaboration with Darkside Games Studios. So at this time the future of “Phantom Dust” is somewhat unclear.
