***UPDATE 2014-12-20***
“With the theater chains deciding the risks associated with screening The Interview were too great, Sony was forced to pull the film entirely”
So it was NOT Sony´s fault at all. They simply had no other choice. Because the theater chains got cold feet on the thought of showing “The Interview”.
—————————
So much for my plans to watch Director and producer Evan Goldberg´s (Knocked Up, Pineapple Express, Superbad) “The Interview” staring James Franco and Seth Rogen. Who is sent out on a mission to kill Kim Jong Un) in Sweden.
Because if you haven´t heard it yet. North Korea sent out terror threats all over the world (aimed at cinemas).
And that made Sony pull the plug on The Interview, at least for now (just to be on the safe side. I don´t know about the rest of the world. But in Sweden there´s not even a nailed down date for The Interview.
And not only is that a direct attack on freedom of speech. It´s also an attack on our world. Because let´s face it. Kim Jong Un is crazy enough to pull the trigger on the world. Maybe not now, but he sure will if he ever get´s the chance.
Speaking of which, Kim Jong Un got 100% of the votes in the North Korean election just recently. Gee, i wonder why? So i bet that Kim is really happy at the moment. The same thing can´t be said about Ben Stiller though.
Because this is what Stiller wrote on his Twitter:
“Really hard to believe this is the response to a threat to freedom of expression here in America. #TheInterview” – Ben Stiller
Then i heard that North Korea threatens with new nuclear tests again. So imo, it feels like Kim Jong Un has taken the whole world as his hostages. So it´s about time that we put the fot down.
