“RollerCoaster Tycoon”, just the name alone brings back a lot of memories to me. As i´ve been a fan of the series since the very first game (which got released back in 1999. MicroProse, Chris Sawyer and published by Hasbro Interactive).

But the “RollerCoaster Tycoon” series ran out of air when part 2 got released. “RollerCoaster Tycoon 3: Soaked!” brought back my faith in the series though.

At least for a while, before “RollerCoaster Tycoon 4 Mobile” broke my faith in the series again. So i´m not quite sure what i should feel about Atari´s announcement of “RollerCoaster Tycoon World“.

Atari´s “RollerCoaster Tycoon World” is set for a mid 2015 release.

Sure, the trailer looked (looks) pretty nice. But just like always, it´s ALL about the gameplay. But at least it seems like Atari understands that, as they were very honest about the whole thing in their blog post on Steam.

Even so though, it still remains to be seen if “RollerCoaster Tycoon World” is worthy of our time and money. We will know for sure when the game get´s released on Steam late this year (mid 2015).
