***Update 4 – 2015-06-28 – 09:45 CEST***

I could never in my wildest dreams have thought that there would be so much buzz over my “SJW´s want to remove Tifa´s big breasts from Final Fantasy 7 Remake” article (it has over +20K shares on Facebook), when I published the article last Monday. Then again, the Final Fantasy fan base is gigantic. So there were a lot of fans who wanted to share their thoughts and opinions about Tifa Lockhart and her breasts. So it didn’t take all that long before trolls, haters and SJWs started to swarm our comment section.

However, that was not the worst part of this story, nope, the worst part would be the fact that N4G.com refused to publish the article, even though people really liked it (4/5 mods reported the article). One N4G mod (bunt custardly) had a change of heart though, so tons of respect to him/her. Anyhow, please enjoy the video boys and girls =)

***Update 3 – 2015-06-23 – 18:29 CEST***

You guys won´t believe this, but one out of the five N4G mods has changed their minds about our article on N4G. I was informed about this just now, and this is what the mod said to me/us:

N4G.com´s mail:

“Removed my report because you didn’t get mad. But I can’t vouch for the other 4 and won’t approve it as it’s my choice not to for the reasons I’ve already stated.

A shame though as it’s gotten some heat and as you say the content is actually informative. Not sure how effective it would be if you edit now and change the SJW slant. BC. “bunt-custardly
My answer:

“Hi again =)

Well thank you! Of course, as they got a will of their own you know. For sure, that´s what I/we try to do with all of our articles =) At this point, not so much I think.

I have you know this though, a lot of young girls and women enjoyed that article when I posted it, since I´m all for body diversity in games. Sadly enough, there´s a lot of women who’re insecure about their bodies nowadays, and removing busty female characters from games won´t help the situation, in fact. It’s making it worse.

I actually talked to a lot of women about this yesterday. They feel like they’re not welcome or represented in games anymore, as the SJW´s have made many devs somewhat nervous when it comes to having busty female characters in their games.

Because I think that there´s a huge difference between sexism, and having a strong, beautiful and “curvy” female protagonist (like Bayonetta for example). Well, I tried my best. So thank you for your replay and your change of heart 😉 Cheers!”Robin Ek, TGG

I doubt that the other four N4G mods will remove their reports though

***Update 2 – 2015-06-22 – 23:53 CEST***

Just now, we received an answer by one of the mods from N4G.com, regarding our FF7 Remake article about Tifa Lockhart. Anyhow, this is what the mod has to say:

“TGG.

Your article you submitted would have been fine by me if you or the author would have simply focused on the potential look of Tifa in the upcoming remake. The fact that you’ve used the SJW headline as a bait makes it pretentious and pushing a feminist cause over an issue which frankly might not even be there especially if Square decide to tone down Tifa’s breast size (like you have shown in your article) without input from any external influences.

I think bringing in any kind of feminism into gaming especially on N4G isn’t the right place for sensible debate and I have exercised my right to use the lame report. BC.”bunt-custardly, N4G.com mod

My answer:

“Hi =)

Thanks for getting back to me. I did that because that´s where the issue was, I´ve talked to FF fans all day long today (male and female), and they liked the article (they also agreed with me), and just like I wrote. If Square Enix want´s to change Tifa´s breast size to something smaller, so be it.

I just pointed out the obvious, like the fact that there exists body diversity in real life (thus the cosplay pictures). If the headline is a problem, I could always change it. Because I think, it´s really sad that people are missing out on a good read.”Robin Ek, TGG

So let me see if get this straight. The article itself was alright, but the headline wasn´t? Simply because I typed in “SJW´s want´s to remove,” like, seriously? That was the whole point! As it was not the Final Fantasy fans themselves that even started this debate over Tifa Lockhart´s busty chest. Anyhow, I highly doubt that a “new” headline will improve our odds to get this article published on N4G.com…

***Update 1 – 2015-06-22 – 22:38 CEST***

I can´t say that it´s everyday that I manage to get four mods butt-hurt over an article which I´ve written. Well, that was the case for me today, as four mods from N4G.com reported me for trying to post this article on N4G.com some hours ago. I/we were informed about this by one of our readers (thanks Nonscpo!). Well, this would be the first time that I’ve ever encountered anything quite like this before.

So why did my article get reported then? (the one which you have right in front of your eyes right now), because four mods stated that it was lame and “Not news for Gamers,” and this was my response to that:

four-butt hurt n4g mods

Censorship much?

I should also point out that I have never posted any article such as this on N4G.com before, but it´s quite obvious for me now that articles such as this is not welcome on N4G…Here´s some comments on my article (that´s stuck in “pending” at the moment) by other N4G.com users

“Its a weird system they have since the years I been here. This is exactly news we want to hear concerning the franchise etc etc. id disagree with them however ill just get one of those warnings that im confusing the contributor despite my free opinion to agree or disagree with them”DarkBlood, a N4G.com user

“It almost like real life women don’t have big breasts… nope! no such thing exists! Have they been outside on a hot summer’s day????” – Activemessiah, a N4G.com user

Social justice warriors Vs the female anatomy in video games

I know that most Gamers hate when news sites (or magazines) use the words such as “controversy” or “controversial,” (as it´s done to generate more clicks, or to sell more magazines. ) but let´s be honest shall we. Every time it´s a subject that has something to do with the female anatomy (no matter if it´s video games, movies or real-life events), the article in question becomes a “controversial” one automatically (even if that was not the author´s intention from the start). As it´s almost impossible not to talk (or write) about the female body, without causing a lot of fuss in the process.

So I was not surprised to hear that social justice warriors have targeted Square Enix remake of Final Fantasy 7, or to be exact, Tifa Lockhart. And why is that? Because Tifa just happens to be a woman with a lot of curves. However, there´s a “specific” part of Tifa´s body that has made the SJW´s blood boil of anger, and that would-be Tifa´s large bust (breasts).

This is what the original FF7 concept art of Tifa Lockhart, looked like.

Sexism and none sexism in the world of Gaming

I understand that there´s a thin line between sexism and none sexism when it comes to video games. As you literally can create a perfect looking female or male character, but good looks have nothing to do with sexism. It´s HOW the character in question is presented in the game that matters, and that´s what determines if the character is sexist or not. That´s also why I think that it´s perfectly fine to present a good-looking (and sexy) female (or male) character in a game, without screaming out “sexism” all the time. So I find it kind of funny since SJW´s reason like this, Sexy and good-looking female game characters = Sexism and sexist game design, ugly female game characters = none sexism, perfect looking male game characters = None sexism.

It also seems like the SJW movement are the ones who decide which female body types that´s okay in video games, and which is not.

Should busty women not be represented in video games anymore?

Well, I got some news for you dear SJWs. We are all born with different physical appearances and “assets.” Some are small. Some are big. Some are thin and so on. We also got different colors and shapes, and that´s the beauty of the human nature. Because could you even imagine how boring the world would be if we all looked and dressed the same? At least, I wouldn´t like to live in such a world. Diversity is one of the many treats that this world has to offer us, so I don´t understand why the SJWs wants to take that away from video games?

In fact, I still remember Jekkie62´s (a Reddit user) excellent comment about the matter about busty female Gamers and female game characters with large breasts. This is what she said:

“I also love gaming. It’s fun, it’s relaxing it’s fiction. It’s a getaway from life. I also LOVE when there are people who I can relate to in the game. I love seeing characters with large breasts and bottoms, because that’s what I look like.” – Jekkie62 via Big Boobs/Reddit

Yes, believe it or not, but there actually exists REAL females with large breasts (natural). So I find it to be somewhat laughable that the SJW´s is claiming the opposite, just take some of these Tifa Lockhart cosplayers for example:

I have no idea who this cosplayer is however…

Kana sure nailed her Tifa Lockhart cosplay imo.

tifa lockhart brianflore

Another cosplayer which I have no idea (whatsoever) who it is. Great Tifa Lockhart cosplay though!

Alexia Jean Grey sure nailed her Tifa Lockhart cosplay :3

I think you get my point by now, at least I think that there should be busty female characters in video games as well, because like Jekkie62 said herself:
“I also LOVE when there are people who I can relate to in the game. I love seeing characters with large breasts and bottoms, because that’s what I look like.”

Alternative looks and designs for Tifa Lockhart in Final Fantasy 7 Remake

However, I do understand that the combination of a busty female game character, and revealing clothing “might” spark controversial discussions and rants (like in the case with Tifa Lockhart for example). So it´s no coincidence that the SJW´s want to have remade version of Tifa Lockhart in the remake of Final Fantasy 7. Personally, I’m not offended by Tifa´s original design and outfit, but I have to admit that her clothes are not the best choice for engaging close combat battles, as Tifa should wear cloths that´s suitable for combat (her cloths should work for her, NOT against her).

Square Enix seems to have thought about this when they made Final Fantasy 7: Advent Children though. As Tifa Lockhart had a different outfit (better suiting cloths for close combat, and less revealing as well) in FF7: AC (as seen down below).

A deviantart user called “candycanecroft”, made this FF7: Advent Children inspired version of Tifa Lockhart, and I really like it!

Some people may hate me now (as I know that Final Fantasy and Tifa Lockhart have a really huge fan base), but I actually like the FF7: AC outfit and design of Tifa better than the original FF7 version of Tifa. I´m not saying that Square Enix has to make Tifa flat chested in-order to make the SJW´s happy, or that Square Enix has to make Tifa´s breasts smaller.  I´m just saying that I´m 100% cool with the FF:AC outfit design for Tifa (I love the style and the black color of Tifa´s outfit and shoes. As the clothes are cool, sexy and suitable for fighting), so if Square Enix chooses to  go with that design, there will be no rants from me (whatsoever).

As for Tifa´s bust size, It´s going to be impossible to make everyone happy. If Tifa´s breasts are too big (same size as the original version of Tifa in FF7), the SJW´s will whine about it, if her breasts are small (or normal size) Square Enix will be accused of bending over for the SJW´s demands, so this is a fight which Square Enix can´t win. As it´s a battle between Final Fantasy fans (old design Vs new design) and the SJW movement, so I think that Square Enix should just go for a design that THEY think look great for Tifa Lockhart.

I just hope that Square Enix won´t change the race of Tifa Lockhart, as there seems to be some kind of odd trend at the moment where game developers switch asian characters to a character with another ethnical background…

But what do you guys and girls think about all of this? And which look and outfit do you think that Square Enix should go for with Tifa Lockhart?
