I honestly had no idea (whatsoever) that there existed a third-person shooter “Warhammer 40K” MMO game.
But it´s true, and Behaviour Interactive has been working on “Warhammer 40,000: Eternal Crusade” (Windows and Linux) for over a year now.
And the pre-orders has been ticking in for quite a while as well (the “Pioneer pack” would be the cheapest pre-order option at this time. And it´s all yours for $15).
But is “Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade” worthy of our time and money? (you can play-for-free, but then you have to play as the “Ork Boyz”. Which would be the basic soldier of the Ork Faction).
Hard to say at this time, as “Eternal Crusade” is far from a final product. And there seems to be a lot of mixed emotions among the Warhammer fans as well (just checkout the latest “Eternal Crusade” Youtube video).
Let´s just say that some of the Warhammer fans ain´t all that happy over some of the game design decisions that’s been made throughout the development process.
Such as the microtransaction service, and the free-to-play model (it´s pay-to-win deal pretty much) in “Eternal Crusade” for example.
So i´m going to say pass for now. But you guys (and girls) are free to checkout some of the “Warhammer 40K: Eternal Crusade” videos on Behaviour Interactive´s Youtube page.
And make up your own mind about “Eternal Crusade”.
