Well, my Saturday sure started off with style. As i just heard about the rumors about the Xbox One remastered edition of Gears of War. At least if you choose to believe the unnamed source that told Polygon about this. I sure hope it´s true though, as the GOW fan community has been waiting quite a while for something like this to happen.

In fact, it would be great if Gears of War 1-3 could get a remastered edition. I know, that´s just “wishful thinking“. But if the rumors turn out to be true, then Black Tusk (formerly Microsoft Vancouver) and Microsoft is working on a remastered edition of Gears of War 1 (the original game was released to Xbox 360 back in 2006). It´s even said that the cut scenes and visuals has been enhances by the animation studio Plastic Wax.

However, it remains to see if this is true or not. Gameinformer has reached out to Microsoft about this. But so far they haven´t commented on this. But with E3 just around the corner. It would be a grand slam for Microsoft if they got unveil both a Gears of War Remastered Edition, and a brand new Gears of War game for Xbox One.
