You know, i got really excited when i heard rumours about Half Life 3 earlier today. Because i (like everyone else) has been waiting since forever to hear (and see) anything from Half Life 3.

But Valve has been silent as the grave about HL3. The same thing goes for Gabe Newell. In the matter of fact. It´s been all about everything else BUT HL3. Left 4 Dead 3, Big Picture, Steam OS, the Steam controller and so forth.

Will we ever get to see Half Life 3? Or will Gaben keep it on the ice forever?

And that’s basically all there is to it. But as i said (wrote) at the very beginning of this post. My eyes feasted on some new rumours (via masterherald) about Half-Life 3.

But it toke me less than 10 seconds to figure out that it was nothing more than pure bs. And it didn’t take long before users at Reddit started to tear the rumor apart (salad_tongs really nailed that one).

So, yeah. Sadly enough it´s yet another fake rumor and make believe about Half Life 3. And i think it´s to much to hope (and ask for), to get some kind of response from Gaben about all this?

Oh well, one is allowed to dream i guess…

2 – They do not provide a direct quote from GabeN.
3 – Whatever ‘interview’ they are referring too is unknown. Was it an Interview with Masterherald or some other group/source? They did not provide any link to the source they are pulling this from. There is a chance they took the quote out of context to the rest of the interview, but you can’t determine that as they don’t provide any reliable source.
4 – This is just bad reporting.
