I think it´s somewhat strange that SEGA has started to show interest in the Streets of Rage series all of a sudden. Because they haven’t cared all that much about SOR up to now.
Sure, you got all the mobile versions of Streets of Rage (iOS, PSP, 3DS and so on). But besides that, SEGA has shown very little TLC for the SOR series.
In fact, if it hadn’t been for the team behind SOR Remake (SEGA pulled the plug on their game back in 2006, but the game got released to the public anyhow) then i´m quite sure that SEGA would have cared even less about SOR.
But here´s some good news at least. SEGA “might” be working on a 3D version of “Streets of Rage 2”.
At least that seems to be the case. Because “3D Steets of Rage 2” has been rated in Australia (PG, Parental Guidance ). That´s not much, but it´s an start at least.
But even so, one might ask him/herself which formats will “3D Steets of Rage 2” be released to?
