I honestly had no idea that there would be so much fuss around Obsidian Entertainments RPG game “Pillars of Eternity“. Don´t get me wrong, the game is freaking awesome!

But i just found out that Obsidian had to remove a $500 backers Kickstarter reward, simply because a SJW whined on Twitter about it.

And what kind of reward would that be then? To be exact, it´s the one that allows you to add your name and a personalized message on a memorial stone in “Pillars of Eternity”.

In this case, Obsidian removed “Firedorn’s memorial” from the game. As a Twitter user under the name of Erika Imperial complained to Obsidian that it´s “transmisogyny” to have a message like that in “Pillars of Eternity”.

In fact, this is Erika´s actual Tweet to Obsidian:

So what´s so horrible about the “Firedorn’s memorial” message and memorial stone then? Well, judge for yourself.

“Here lies a Firedorn, a hero in bed. He once was alive, but now he´s dead. The last woman he bedded, turned out a man. And crying in shame, off a cliff he ran.”

“Firedorns Memorial” no more?

It´s just a joke, nothing more, nothing less. But apparently, nowadays it´s enough if ONE single person get´s offended by something. Then it has to be removed from the actual product in question.

Do you realize how stupid all of this sounds? Actually, it made me think of a class trip that almost got ruined for me (and my classmates) back in High School.

All because of ONE person that decided that his/her voice and opinion was worth more than the majority of the class (99% against 1%). Anyhow, you get the point.

But there is a lesson to be learned from all of this. And that would be that Obsidian shouldn’t bend over for the SJW´s and their demands.

Because here´s the thing. The SJW´s ain´t Obsidian Entertainment´s majority consumers or audience. So why do you even bother with them Obsidian? Care about your fan base and customer base instead.

Just let the SJW´s whine all they want. Let them scream and cry like the oversized crybabies they are. Because the last time i checked, Obsidian wasn´t owned by Tumblr.

And btw, 367 backers paid $500 for this “Pillars of Eternity” Kickstarter reward. To get the chance to add their name + a personalized message on a memorial stone.

Those are the people whom´s opinions and thoughts that you should care about Obsidian. Not ranting and whining SJW´s. Who probably didn’t even back (or support) “Pillars of Eternity” in the first place…
