Normaly i don´t care all that much about gossip or celebrity news. But the first thing that i saw when i checked my smartphone this morning, was a huge headline that said “PewDiePie is forced to pay penalty tax in Sweden due to a glitch in the declaration” (via Expressen).
And natuarly, i wanted to check what that was all about. So i did, and i found out that PewDiePie (Felix Kjellberg) made a “little” declaration error in his tax report back in 2013.
As PewDiePie never brought up his share-out of 150,000 krona ($17,300) for his company Pewdie Productions AB to the tax office in Sweden (Skatteverket).
So now he has to pay back over 92,000 krona ($10,612) to Skatteverket (the Swedish IRS). But to be honest, i don´t think PewDiePie will cry all that much over this.
As he is the richest Youtube star in the world at the moment. In fact, PewDiePie makes millions and millions of dollars per year on his Youtube channel.
I just hope that PewDiePie won´t make any more misstakes of this kind. As it´s not a good idea to get in the line of sight of Skatteverket more than necessary…
