Shaquille O’Neal may have retired from slam dunking and guarding the paint, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone for good. That´s right, the Shaq Attack is back in all his Kung Fu glory in the upcoming Shaq Fu: A legend reborn coming soon to consoles. Since the days of Sega Genesis, we’ve heard rumors of another Shaq Fu—but nothing ever became of it.

As ridiculous as it sounds to have a sequel to—what can pretty much be summed up as a parody game—it’s still a great play for fans (much like the remake of NBA Jam for example). The same insane gameplay is returning, and much more for fans. Check out the trailer below and let us know your thoughts. Shaq Fu: A legend reborn is currently in development.

What is Shaq Fu?
For those of you that somehow missed the campaign, Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn is a new, exciting, total reinvention of the Shaq Fu franchise. No doubt the original game created a legacy of its own, but with this project we are starting from scratch. We have a team of extraordinary people that have come from projects like Street Fighter, Final Fantasy, and Halo. We intend to make a solid, fun and addictive game that is sure to give sore thumbs to even the most battle hardened gamer!
