Yes, I know “The Wii U are Doomed” and so on. However, Mojang and Nintendo “might” just turn the game around quite a bit with the Wii U edition of Minecraft (the game is called “Minecraft Wii U Edition”). Yep, that´s right. There will be a Wii U edition of Minecraft. This became publicly known when Owen Hill (former games journalist) talked to Jens Bergensten (the lead developer of Minecraft) earlier today (I saw Nintendo´s tweet about the game first though). So, what will Minecraft Wii U Edition cost then? Well, the launch price is set at $29,99 (the game will also be available via Nintendo´s E-shop on the 17th of December).

In other words, it´s going to be a really nice Christmas for the Wii-U owners (if they like Minecraft that is).

That´s just the half of it though, because everyone who buys the Wii U edition of Minecraft will get their hands-on Minecraft´s 6th most popular add-on packs as well (for free!). Wait, there is more. You will also be able to buy 17 different DLCs (as seen in the list down below) for Minecraft once the game gets release on the 17th of December (all core updates of the game will be free as well). There´s even a off-TV play feature to Minecraft Wii U Edition. So that means that you can play Minecraft on the Wii U gamepad while others can enjoy the TV for movies, news, video games and so on.
