Today is a very good day if you just happen to like platform games, and why is that? (so you might wonder) It’s because I (Robin Ek, TGG) just found out that appSide Down’s upcoming 2.5D arcade platformer “Escape Doodland” is getting a playable demo very soon (it’s a closed demo). You see, I spotted the following Steam update by appSide just now:

“Welcome to Doodland !If you are excited about Escape Doodland we have a great news! We are going to release closed demo version shortly. You can sign up for it on our PAGE[www.escapedoodland.com] :)We are also on Facebook and Twitter and we are sharing a lot of cool stuff there 🙂 Cheers!Peter and Veronica” – appSide Down via Steam

Yep, appSide Down will release a closed demo for “Escape Doodland” very soon.

I have no idea how I could have missed out on this tweet…Oh well, at least I know what’s up now.

Furthermore, I also found out that “Escape Doodland” is set for a release to PC (Windows) during the first quarter of next year =) (the game’s Steam page went live just recently). Other than that, I just signed up for the “Escape Doodland” demo myself:

“Hi Robin !

Thanks for subscription and signing in for testing Escape Doodland. The number of new subscribers exceeded our expectations (and the ability to write to all of you 🙂 )
We are working hard on demo and doing our best to finish it as soon as possible. We are now finishing main menu and after that we’ll have to deal with bugs and make the game more balanced.
We think it shouldn’t take us more than 2-3 weeks. Thanks for your patience and please remember that there are only two of us :).

In the meantime you can check out our newly created Steam page.

Cheers!
Peter and Veronica”

“Escape Doodland” is said to be ready for a launch to Windows in Q1 2018.

In other words, I hope that I will be able to write up a preview post for “Escape Doodland” as soon as possible (I plan to make a video as well). So I hope that you guys and girls are just as excited for this game as I am 😉

And with that said, what’s your take on this matter? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
