I am very, very pleased to inform you guys that Das Humankapital will release their ultra brutal and disgusting action platformer “Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus” via Steam on the 21st of September this year (a game which is like a mix of “Toxic Crusaders”,”Boogerman,” “Soldat”, “Life Force” and “B.O.B.”. Well, at least in my opinion). And funny enough, I was just thinking about when “Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus” will launch on Steam (I had tons of fun with the demo of the game). And then out of nowhere, I received a PM from Das Humankapital with the release date and everything. So that was a very pleasant surprise for me with no doubt.
Furthermore, I was also hooked up with a press release and a brand-new trailer for “Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus” (you will find both the trailer and the press release further down the page). So I´m super excited for the full release of the game now (I hope that I will get the chance to review the game, record some more videos and “hopefully” host a giveaway as well). As for here and now though, please enjoy the new trailer and the press release! (TGG is actually mentioned in the press release, cool!).
Press release:
Linz, Austria, August 15, 2016 – Austrian Indie Studio „Das Humankapital“ is happy to announce that „Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus“, the sequel to their 2004 title „Atomic Butcher“, will be released September 21st 2016 on Steam for Windows PC/Mac/Linux. Das Humankapital also released a brand new announcement trailer that can be seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZcCK3QGdzM
Ravage the post-apocalyptic earth once again as the world’s hungriest mutant – the ATOMIC BUTCHER – who is on an eternal quest for fresh meat in this over-the-top, fast-paced platformer with 360° shooting. Kill your enemies in a multitude of ways – Pee them to death, throw corpses of slain enemies on them, electrocute them, drop chainsaws on them – and then EAT THEM! The original Atomic Butcher was released as freeware back in 2004, an indie game from a time before indie games were on the radar for most gamers. Despite that, it became quite popular among lovers of gory retro-games with a love for decidedly off-beat humor.
