It´s been a while since i heard anything about the old school developer Yves Grolet (he worked on “Unreal“, “Agony” on the Amiga. And “Outcast” for PC).
But last night i found out that Grolet is working on an indie game called “Block’em” (in a Belgium based studio).
Nice indeed, but what is “Block’em” about then? Well, it´s a platform game where you (the player) get´s to build fortresses using blocks, and you have to defend your flag (and your turf) from other players.
Sounds pretty cool huh? Well, it get´s better. Because Grolet is even looking for playtesters for “Block’em” (you can apply as a playtester via [email protected]).
So if you want to give “Block’em” a go, then signup as a playtester for the game asap!
About Block’em:
Block’em is a platform game in which players build their own fortresses using blocks and then defend their turf from the attack of other players. To succeed playing Block’em, players will have to use their wits and creativity. Building effective traps and defenses to protect your flags is a must.
Players can challenge each other’s fortress designs both online and offline. If you are online, you can engage in “capture the flag” battles in which your fortress will be connected to that of your opponent’s, making a magical bridge.
Players each start with an empty fortress. During their progression in the game, players earn XP and Coins, which allow for the purchase of new blocks. When these are earned, players are able to enhance their fortresses and become more effective at protecting their flags.
