It´s been about six months since I heard anything about Das Humankapital upcoming action/platform game “Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus”. Well, guess what? Just recently Das Humankapital dropped the following comment on my old “Atomic Butcher” article:
“Hey! Thank you for your kind words — you seem to be “spot on” on our intentions. As you might have noticed by this comment, we did not quite make “end of 2015″ (duh, thank you, Cpt Obvious!). BUT we recently released a playable demo of two levels. It’s pre-alpha, so there’ll be definitely a few bugs, but it’s safe to say that the overall experience is already captured.” – Das Humankapital
And as you might imagine, I couldn´t resist the great urge to give the game a go. So I tried out that Alpha demo earlier today, and I have to say that “Atomic Butcher: Homo Metabolicus” really feels and looks like a mix of “Boogerman”, “Soldat,”, “Life Force” and “Toxic Crusaders“. However, just like Das Humankapital pointed out in his own comment to me (us). The game does suffer from some bugs. So don´t expect the demo to run without errors and crashes on your Windows, MAC or Linux system. Nevertheless, I still think that the very first demo of “Atomic Butcher” is a rather impressive and interesting one. So if you like games such as “Soldat”, “Boogerman” or “Toxic Crusaders”, then you should most definitely download and try the “Atomic Butcher” demo.
