Let´s be honest. It´s going to be really hard for Innofame´s sandbox/fantasy/strategy game “Empyrean Rule: Rise of the Ancients” to reach it´s $40,000 Kickstarter goal on time. As the game has “just” been able to collect $7,5000 so far, and to make things even worse. There´s only 5 days left on the Kickstarter campaign as well. And i think it´s pretty much an “mission impossible” situation for Empyrean As the game is $32,500 short at the moment.
And that´s rather sad i have to say. As i liked the fact that “Empyrean” has been inspired by “Lord of the Rings” and games such as “Dark Omen“, “Mark of Chaos”, the “Total War series“, “Civilization” and even “Eve Online”. Let´s just say that i saw quite a lot of potential in “Empyrean”. Hell, the game even got Greenlit after just 8 days on Steam Greenlight (there´s even support for Oculus Rift!). But it seems like none of that was enough to impress the Kickstarter (and Gaming) community.

Will Empyrean Rule be able to reach it´s $40,000 Kickstarter goal on time? Well, if you believe in miracles. Then yes.
Well, either it´s that. Or “Empyrean” has had a lot of bad luck. Then again, there´s a lot of games fighting for attention and money on Kickstarter. So, yeah. It´s going to take one hell of a miracle to save “Empyrean Rule: Rise of the Ancients” from a certain death on Kickstarter…
Disclosure:
The designer and project leader of Empyrean Rule contacted us via mail just recently. And we we´re asked if we would be interested in writing about “Empyrean Rule: Rise of the Ancients”. I said yes. And that´s all there is to it.
