Last night, I found out about Sam L. Jones and Eclipse JP´s highly ambitious indie game project “Healing Process: Tokyo.” (the game runs on the Unity engine by the way). Which would be an adventure/puzzle/platformer that focuses heavily on mental illness (depression in this case) and one mans struggle to fight his inner demons. And that man would be no one less than Charles Russell, a talented doctor and surgeon who had found happiness in his profession and in his love life (his wife). So Charles was enjoying his life in Tokyo, Japan to the fullest. Sadly enough though. Charles happiness would not last forever, as his beloved wife died in a terrible accident. So Charles’s life has now been turned-up side down, and that has led to depression and suicidal thoughts. Thus the title name “Healing Process,” as that´s main theme of the game (to heal and recover from mental illness). Personally, I solved that problem with Metal, video games and tons of exercise.
Anyhow, I really like the graphics, the story, the characters and the game concept for “Healing Process: Tokyo” (which is set for a release in November next year to Windows and MAC). So i´m going to play and record the playable demo today (you can download and try the Healing Process demo as well via Steam Greenlight, don´t forget to vote!). And “if” you like the “Healing Process: Tokyo” demo, then you should consider backing the game on Kickstarter (Eclipse JP aims to collect £9,120, and there is 22 days left to go on the campaign now). And guess what? If you become a backer of “Healing Process”, then you will get “Fliff’s Tale” for free! (the game is set for a Q4 2016 release). So if you like the sound of this, then you should give “Healing Process: Tokyo” a chance for sure.
