As you might remember, I wrote a preview post for Noclip´s fast-paced action/puzzle platformer “Standby” just recently. Well, guess what? Just this morning HypeTrain Digital informed me that there will be a speedrun contest for Standby:
“HypeTrain Digital announces a speedrun contest revolving around new and upcoming, lightning paced platformer – STANDBY!
Reaching out to all possible speedrun communities and groups we made a special demo that will show us who is the fastest out of all. Impressions from the community on dedicated discord server:
“I would of never thought that such a small demo could be picked apart so thoroughly cant wait for the full game”
“I find new crazy strats every single day.”
“Master all these ” glitches ” and make the perfect run, this is the most instense speedrun I have done. SMB was good, this one is excellent.”
“I have done many speedruns, most of them were on 360 and I could not record, but yea, this game is a f**** awesome speedrun game”
Listen about the contest in the upcoming speedrun podcast by Joshimuz!
Not a speedrunner? Worry not, the challenge was created in a such way that almost anyone can participate!” – Andrew Nikolaev, HypeTrain Digital
So if you like the sound of that, then you can find more information via Standby´s Steam page (best of luck!).
