It´s been a while since I´ve heard anything from Crescent Moon games. Then again, I guess that they are crazy busy with games like “The Deer God” and “Neon Shadow“. Any ways, the silence was broken the other day as I (Robin Ek, TGG) was contacted by Crescent Moon games, and they informed me that they have just launched a really promising Zelda inspired action puzzler called “Legend of the Skyfish” on Steam (the game is made by Mgaia Studios):

“Legend of the Skyfish is a beautiful action adventure puzzle game with a unique weapon and tool – a fishing pole! Follow the intrepid Little Red Hook on her journey with the Moonwhale to defeat the monstrous Skyfish. Use your fishing pole as a weapon or a grappling hook, and upgrade it as you go. Legend of the Skyfish is filled with beautiful hand-painted art, intricate action puzzles and unique enemies.
Explore a huge world of 45 handcrafted levels and defeat giant bosses.” – Crescent Moon games

legend of the skyfish

You can really tell from the trailer and the pictures that “Legend of the skyfish” has been inspired quite a lot by “The Legend of Zelda”. I don´t mind though, as I love the Zelda series.

Furthermore, the features list looks rather good so far:
– Unique fishing/grappling hook mechanics
– Gorgeous hand-painted environments and creatures
– Original music score by Sean Beeson
– 45 handcrafted levels
– Epic boss fights
– Many items to find and use
– Various puzzles to solve

So if you´re into Zelda-like games and like what you say in the trailer for “Legend of the Skyfish” (you can watch the trailer down below), then show the game some love on Steam greenlight =) And one more thing, the game is set for a release in early 2017 for Windows and MAC.

And with that said, what do you think about “Legend of the Skyfish” so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
