I find it to be somewhat funny that I had just finished reading through Terry Pratchett’s “The Fifth Elephant” book (it’s a book from the “Discworld” series) when I got contacted about Mighty Pebble Games 2D team-based online competitive multiplayer game “Miner Meltdown“, “And why is that?” (so you might wonder). Well, it’s because “The Fifth Elephant” covers topics such as “dwarves”, “mines” and “mining“, and that just happens to be something that’s rather relatedable to what’s going down in “Miner Meltdown” as well. Anyways, this is what Mighty Pebble Games told me about Miner Meltdown”:

“Hello Robin,

MINER MELTDOWN is a 2D online competitive 4 vs 4 multiplayer game where you dig through randomly generated terrain, search for gold, and blow up your friends. Miner Meltdown is leaving Early Access on August 2. The game has 100% positive reviews on Steam.

In this vibrant game which mixes game mechanics from all-time classics such as Terraria and Worms, players must scour the map for minerals, upgrade their gear, and attempt to blow up the opposing team all the while avoiding monsters, traps, and environmental pitfalls along the way. Maps are randomly generated and 100% destructible, so every match is a fully unique, fast-paced, and chaotic affair.

MINER MELTDOWN is developed by the Canadian one-man indie studio Mighty Pebble Games. This is the studio’s first title on Steam.”Mighty Pebble Games Inc

The full version of “Miner Meltdown” is coming to Windows and MAC on the 2nd of August via Steam.

So that means that “Miner Meltdown” is leaving Steam Early Access on the 2nd of August. In other words, you should be able to enjoy the full version of the game by next week =) Oh, I almost forgot! Here are the said features for “Miner Meltdown” (you will also find the latest video for the game further down the page):

Features:
– 4 vs 4 online multiplayer
– Randomly generated and 100% destructible terrain
– Loads of unique weapons and gadgets to choose from
– Fast-paced gameplay using ropes, jetpacks, and grapples to move around the map with ease.
– Funky soundtrack from Bob Baffy

And with that said, what do you think about “Miner Meltdown” so far? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section down below!
