As most of you already know, there’s a ton of different games that are live and has been live on Kickstarter for the last couple of months. So as you might imagine, it’s kind of hard to cover everything there is. Even so, I was still quite surprised that I/we had missed out on the fact that MuHa Games turn-based strategy game “Thea 2: The Shattering” got fully funded on Kickstarter not too long ago. In the matter of fact, I might not have found out about it if it hadn’t been for our big indie games giveaway.

Long story short, we’re giving away one PC key for the first “Thea” game. So while I was looking for some nice pictures to use for the header picture of the said post, I found out that “Thea 2: The Shattering” got fully funded on Kickstarter just a couple of weeks ago (“Thea 2” raised over £51,000 in total with the help of 1,7000 backers on the 17th of October). Speaking of which, here’s the actual post about the matter by MuHa Games:

“Thea 2: The Shuttering is officially funded and its all thanks to you lovely people! Together with our Pay Pal donations, we’ve gathered £53,078, so you can be sure we’ll be putting in loads of extra features for the sequel. Within the next few weeks, we’ll get our act together and start organising your pledges and drawing up plans and of course we’ll keep you updated at all times.

For those of you who pledged enough to get Thea: The Awakening, we’ll do our best to start sending out the keys asap (we will send a message to ask what platform you prefer first) But for now, it’s time to raise our glasses and cheer, we did it!” MuHa Games via Kickstarter

The, the isometric view hex map returns in “Thea 2”.

In other words, “Thea 2: The Shattering” is happening, and the game is said to launch for PC in August next year. Well, at least if everything goes according to plan, because that’s what MuHa Games aims for:

“We are hard a work on our second title, Thea 2: The Shattering, a sequel to Thea: The Awakening. We are scheduled to launch early access in summer 2018 and so far, things are progressing well.

We hope the sequel will capture the complexity and tone of its predecessor, while offering exciting new content, mechanics and features. So far, our signature tactical card mini-game is quickly entering its first prototype phase and we’re really excited about it. The visual style of Thea 2 is also in keeping with the tone of the dark fantasy world. Work is already underway on the vast array of new event art and 3D models as well as the now coloured card graphics.”MuHa Games

Nice features indeed =) Other than that, there’s a playable demo prototype for “Thea 2”, and MuHa Games uploaded their “Thea 2: The Shattering Day and Night Cycles” video just recently (There are more “Thea 2” videos to be found on MuHa Games Youtube page). So there’s quite a lot of stuff to be enjoyed while waiting for “Thea 2” to launch (I bet that more videos and demos will follow in the near future), and good thing that, since the game won’t launch until August next year.

And with that said, what’s your take on “Thea 2” so far? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below!
