***Update 1 – 2015-08-20 – 10:33 CEST***
I just woke up to the news that Squishy Games has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their 1-bit HD action/arcade/adventure game “Rogue Invader” (the game is set for late fall release for Windows, MAC and Linux). And that sure is great news for everyone who likes games of this kind, However. “Rogue Invader” needs to collect $20,000 within 28 days from-now in-order to become a reality. So I/we wish Squishy Games the best of luck with their Kickstarter campaign! And for those who are not quite sure if “Rogue Invader” is their kind of game or not, you will find the Kickstarter video and the full list of features for “Rogue Invader” down below.

I’m still a firm believer that a game doesn´t necessarily need to have the best graphics there is, in-order to offer an awesome gameplay experience. As good graphics don’t automatically mean that the game in question will be fun to play. So it´s rather sad that some people turn down games that don’t offer high-tech graphics. a la ID Tech 6 or Unreal Engine 4. That´s alsy why I hope that the game community will give Squishy Games 1-bit HD roguelike isometric/adventure/arcade shooter Rogue Invader (for Windos, MAC and Linux) a fair chance.
At least, it seems like the Steam community loves Rogue Invader so far, since the game got Greenlit on Steam Greenlight not so long ago. And guess what? The game is set for a release this fall. So keep your eyes and ears open for Rogue Invader folks! As for me/us, we might get the chance to play the preview build of the game in the near future =)
