The war between the two sexes

I honestly thought that I had just witnessed the “SJW troll” movie if the year when I watched team BoobIsLife´s trailer for their upcoming game SJW Riot: Troops vs Women. As the video made fun out of Anita Sarkeesian , SJWs and that red-haired super aggressive (and loud) feminist woman (which can be spotted in amazing atheist´ s “FEMINISM vs. FREEDOM OF SPEECH” video), but it´s no joke. It’s the real deal, because SJW Riot: Troops vs Women really is an authentic indie game in the making. So that´s probably why game news sites such as Destructoid has been rather salty over SJW Riot mere existence. Which of course can be explained by the games nature, theme and concept (which were made to be as controversial as possible on purpose).

For example, just take the indiegogo description text for SJW Riot:

“Social Justice Warriors have lost their mind, again, and they are terrorising men, just for being men! There is a suspected bomb threat in a local conference, and many men have been kidnapped and being held in cages! It’s time to send in the Troops.”

I have to say that Yuji Nakajima (the dev behind SJW) said it the best though:

“SJW’s are terrorising men, just for being men. There is a riot. It’s time to send in the Troops.” – Yuji Nakajima, Director for BoobIsLife (his also the man who made the famous “BOOB IS LIFE” quote).

As that statement alone should be more than enough to make SJWs all over the world see blood-red.

If you´re going to piss of SJWs, then do it with style and a lot of boobs

So what in the name of Michael J. Fox is SJW Riot: Troops vs Women? Well, it´s a top-down action game for Windows, MAC and Linux that´s heavly inspired by classic retro games such as Syndicate, Cannon Fodder and Super Smash TV, and if you like the sound of that. Then i´ll have you know that BoobIsLife is planing to add some “John Woo” slowmo in-game action to the mix in SJW Riot. Sounds great right? Sure, but what about the plot then? I´m glad that you asked, because the plot in SJW Riot is just as crazy as the game itself.

Please allow me to explain, in SJW Riot: Troops vs Women the SJWs has declared war on the whole male population, a war which they intend to win by killing (or capturing) every male in the whole world. So it´s your job to stand up against the angry army of SJWs, and free your brothers from their captivity. Like I said, the plot is pretty crazy, but as long as SJW Riot turns out to be a crazy good game. I won´t mind that a bit.

However, BoobIsLife needs to collect £30,000 on indiegogo in-order to make SJW Riot happen. There´s still 28 days left on the campaign though, so SJW Riot might actually make it on time, and trust me on this. If SJW indeed gets released, then it will be a much more controversial release than Hatred for sure. Another thing, in case you wonder what I meant by putting “Gender Wars 2.0” in the headline. Then I’ll have you know that there actually was an isometric squad-level strategy game called “Gender Wars” (made by 8th Day, released back in 1996). In fact, I just happend to own the original game (it´s quite good imo, very X-Com like).

Anyhow, if you like the whole idea and concept of SJW Riot, then you should most defiantly support the game on indiegogo. Because we all love boob, boob is life 😉

Stretch Goals:

£35,000 – Role reversal Mode
With this goal, we will work it in to the game a mode so you can play as SJW and battle against men, shoot them up, eat them with a dinosaur, and save SJW friends. We need this extra money for the devs to put in the extra hours to write the code and make it all work.

£40,000 – Vehicles!
Tanks, Jeeps, Police Cars, Alligators, Dinosaurs and more! Imagine the score opportunities, mowing people down, or controlling a dinosaur to eat people. Is it a real dinosaur or robot dinosaur? Let us know.
We need this extra money for the artists to draw all of the assets and animations, and also for the devs so they can make the vehicles work in the game.

£50,000 – We’re going mobile!
The game will be ported to Android mobile devices, and who knows what else. We are in talks about this stretch goal. The extra money will be paid to the devs, it’ll be a big task to convert everything to be used on touchscreen situation, (perhaps different mechanics and functions) and get it working on a different platform.
