Many, many months ago i wrote about Telehorse steampunk adventure iOS game “Steampunker” (you can buy the game on the App store for $3,99).
Well, just the other day we were contacted by Mr Jacek Kakolewski from Telehorse. And he shared some really good news with us. Because not only has Steampunker won an indie prize at the Casual Connect event.
Steampunker has also launched it´s indiegogo campaign just recently. And the goal would be to collect $2,000 with in 18 days from now.
So if you like the indiegogo trailer for Steampunker, then show it some love on indiegogo!
Press release:
Steampunker by a Polish studio Telehorse has won Indie Prize „Best Game Art
Award” at Casual Connect in Belgrade. 40 games from over 20 countries were
selected for the showcase.
Yulia Vakhrusheva, Director of Indie Prize: “Steampunker is more than a
point-and-click adventure. Its suspenseful atmosphere keeps you hooked until
the end – it felt like reading an exciting sci-fi book and being part of its
story!”
The developer is currently seeking funds to make the award-winning game
available on new platforms. The Steampunker campaign was launched 11/4/14 on

Steampunker is a beautiful 2-D adventure point-and-click game characterised
by unique steampunk-style graphics. At the moment it’s available in the App
Store for iPad only. The campaign aims to raise $2000 in crowdfunding to
complete the Android and iPhone versions of the game. The stretch goals
include translating the game into several languages.
The player takes on the role of a gentleman hero called Vincent, who, facing
the invasion of evil robots, needs to save his futuristic Victorian world.
The future of the Earth hangs on his creativity, imagination and ability to
solve innumerable puzzles and brain teasers, which set in motion various
machines and mechanisms.
In September the game was showcased at Tokyo Game Show. Famitsu Apps
nominated Steampunker for the TGS 2014 Indie Prize. Touch Arcade also
noticed Steampunker in Tokyo. Shaun Musgrave listed the game as one of six
most interesting indie games at TGS 2014.
About Steampunker :
Steampunker is a new 2D steampunk game with unique hand-drawn graphics. The adventures of Vincent, our hero, begin when evil robots attack the Earth. The game contains a series of puzzles linked together into a traditional “point and click” adventure story.
We meet Vincent in a harbor, then he boards a submarine, travels to an island, flies to the Moon in a rocket and finally fights the robots in their spaceship. In order to complete the mission Vincent has to explore the world and find objects needed to fix the vehicles and move in his unique steampunk style world.
The brain teasers include fighting a steam leakage, solving maths puzzles and many more. The game is simple and intuitive, naturally drawing the player into the main protagonist’s amazing world. Steampunker was presented at Tokyo Game Show.
The game has been selected as one of few European productions and the only one originating from Poland. Famitsu App nominated Steampunker to the Indie Prize at TGS 2014. Steampunker has also been selected for the Indie Prize at Casual Connect. The game will participate in the Indie Prize Showcase in Belgrade in November 2014.
