My oh my, there sure has been a lot of Nintendo Switch announcements as of lately. So I think it’s safe to say that Christmas has come early to those who own a Switch console, and things are just about to get even better since Arcanity inc. just informed us that they will release their action RPG “Tanzia” for the Nintendo Switch in December this year:
“Tanzia is a single-player RPG that combines fast-paced strategic combat with elements of favorite classic RPGs in an open 3D world of magic and monsters. It features beautiful hand-painted artwork and a luscious island setting filled with a colorful cast of characters.
Tanzia’s flavorful world, story-centric design, and immersive yet rich action gameplay were inspired by Nintendo’s approach to game design, especially the Legend of Zelda series. We are thus thrilled to officially announce that we are bringing Tanzia to Nintendo Switch! Already in Early Access for the PC, we have switched gears to bring the final release of Tanzia to the Switch in December 2017. Please stay tuned to our social media sites (Facebook and Twitter) for news and updates” – Arcanity Inc
So what exactly is “Tanzia” all about then? Well, I think this should give you a pretty good picture what the game is all about:
“For decades, the Akazi people have enjoyed peace – a peace won by your legendary grandfather. But now a great evil has returned and appears unstoppable. Tanzia’s story design was developed in collaboration with Kevin Saunders (whose previous work includes Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, Neverwinter Nights 2: Mask of the Betrayer, and Torment: Tides of Numenera). In Tanzia, you’ll experience a tale of both grand heroics and personal growth. Can you follow in your grandfather’s footsteps and save your people from destruction?”

“Tanzia” is already available via Steam Early Access. However, the full version is said to premiere on the Nintendo Switch version.
As for features, here’s some of the said launch features for “Tanzia”
Features:
Unique backstory and island setting
Main questline and optional quests to unlock more spells, items, and zones
Open combat system where exploiting combinations of spells, enemy weaknesses, and environment is encouraged
MMORPG-like controls with responsive movement to allow kiting and other emergent techniques
Seamless world with zero load times between zones or dungeons

“Tanzia”seems to offer a wide range of different enemies. I mean, there’s even skeleton vikings in the game.
And in case you wonder what’s new for the Nintendo Switch version of “Tanzia”, then this should answer your question:
“In handheld mode, you’ll have the option to use touch screen controls to select enemies, NPCs, loot, and spells. We’re also rebuilding the handheld presets to provide a more authentic console experience” –Tanzia inc.
So there you have it folks =) And if you like the sound of that, then you should most definitely keep your eyes open for “Tanzia”. Especially since the game is said to launch on the Switch in December this year. As for here and now though, you can watch the Nintendo Switch announcement trailer down below.
