I don’t know if you guys and girls are into fighting games, but I freaking love them. In the matter of fact, I grew up playing fighting games such as “Mortal Kombat“, “Street Fighter 2”, “Tekken” and “Virtua Fighter”. So if you’re a fighting fan that just happens to like gore and really violent content in games, then I’m happy to inform you that Flux Game Studio ‘s ultra-violent Tarantino-style fighting game “GUTS” is coming to PC this Halloween (on the 31st of October, to be exact):
“Hey Robin, Halloween is right around the corner, which means a month of playing bloody, scary and gruesome video games. If you’re working on a Halloween games roundup I’d like to suggest hilariously ultra-violent fighting game GUTS, which has you must dismember your opponents’ limbs in order to win. The game launches on PC on Halloween!” – PR-person on behalf of Flux Game Studio

Make no mistake, “GUTS” is a very violent game (think “Thrill Kill” meets “Mortal Kombat” and “Blood Storm”).
I would also like to point out that Flux Game Studio aims to launch the PS4 and Xbox One version of “GUTS” sometime during Q4 this year. Furthermore, you can download a playable demo for “GUTS” via Steam right now if you feel like it =) As for Xbox One and PS4. I’m not 100% sure if the demo is available to those formats just yet, and for those who have no idea what “GUTS” is all about, here’s a short description of the game:
“GUTS is a radical fighting game that introduces original fighting game mechanics, and eliminates health bars and timers. Instead, players must dismember their opponents by using deadly GUTS Moves to chop off their opponent’s arms and legs. Even while missing a limb or two, the brawl continues until one fighter emerges victorious. You must also be wary of the fatal environments that can sever limbs or hasten mortality. Players can face both enemies and hazards in either online and local multiplayer, as well as in a single-player story mode.”

There are nine playable fighters and eighteen different endings in “GUTS”. So if you add the local versus and online mode into the mix. Then you should get a lot of gameplay hours with no doubt (the Single Player story mode is said to offer +8 hours of gameplay alone).
As for game features, these are the said launch features for “GUTS”:
Features:
– Extremely bloody, fast-paced and violent matches filled with limb amputations
– Over-the-top humor for a genuine hilarious experience
– No need to memorize a bible to learn the inputs! GUTS has Dual-Layerd Combo System: layer 1 so you can have fun while button smashing and layer 2 so hardcore players can have fun studying strategies to create amazing combos
– U-Points system – used to unleash a few special movements: heal and recover a lost limb
– No health bar – players must dismember their opponent completely to win
– No fight timer – the show gets harsher as the match progresses with more hazards to escalate the stakes at the end of the bout
– Competitors don’t stop fighting when they lose their limbs, they change their move sets and keep fighting until they have none
– Easy to play, hard to master: gameplay created to please casual and pro players
– Moves and Special Attacks change according to how many limbs the character has left
– Use fallen limbs as weapons!
– Extras: Unlockables, 3D Models, Videos, etc
– 5 different stages with crazy limb-chopping hazards
– Interact with deadly environments full of hazards that can cause as much harm as an opponent
– 9 strong, unique, controversial characters personalities with 18 different endings add up to more than 8 hours of Single Player story mode
– Online mode: Challenge players in the world in casual and ranked modes
– Local multiplayer: Slaughter against your friends locally
– Story Mode: Over 9 hours of single player gameplay to reveal all GUTS Characters Stories with their 2 different endings
– Original Soundtracks with 10+ songs and a dynamic audio system that changes according to limbs still left in a match
In other words, the launch version of “GUTS” seems to offer tons of different features, game modes and whatnot. So let’s hope that the game will turn out really great when it launches on the 31st of October =) (you can wach a trailer for the game down below).
