Some of you might remember that I (Robin Ek, TGG) wrote about Paulo Andrés F2P game “MarloW in Apocalyptic Acid World” (it´s like a twisted version of Super Mario) not so long ago? Well, guess what? Paulo reached out to me the other day and informed us that he has released a brand-new F2P indie game called “Virgil’s Purgatory“:
“Hi, Robin and TGG Staff.
just to tell you that I released a new game: Virgil’s Purgatory. This time it is a metroidvania game made in the Super Game Boy Style. Thanks!” – Paulo Andrés
So if you´re into retro-like Metroidvania games, then you probably don´t want to miss out on “Virgil’s Purgatory” =) (the game is 100% free-to-play, and you can download the game now for Windows).
About Virgil’s Purgatory:
Virgil is a man who was decapitated, now he must wander through his own purgatory in search of his true head and perhaps eternal rest. The game now has 30 to 60 minutes of total game play.
Now in 3 versions:
Super GB English (colorful with SGB border)
Super GB PT-BR (portuguese translated)
GB Monochrome Version (Classic GB green tones)

– 6 areas (one optional)
