I´m probably far from the only person who thinks that the horror genre has had better days in the world of games. Well, at least I feel like the genre has gone down hills ever since the release of “Silent Hill 3” (with very few exceptions). And since most of the well-known survival horror IPs is anything but horror game´s nowadays, it sure felt like a blessing when the indie scene started to pump in some fresh (and much-needed) blood into the horror genre.

The picture made me think about Iron Maiden´s song “Fear of the dark”, and the “Alone in the dark” series.

And speaking of which, earlier today I/we was contacted by an indie studio called TGA Company (Nahuel Moyano reached out to us). And they informed me that they plan to release their horror/adventure/FPS game “You Deserve” for PC on the 12th of August this summer (if everything goes according to plan). And so far “You Deserve” is doing more than great, as the game has already been greenlit on Steam greenlight (“You Deserve” achieved that in just one week). So it´s going to be really interesting to see how well the game will do on release (review, feedback and sale wise). Time will tell I guess, so we have to wait and see. So, what about the plot of “You Deserve” then? Well, the story of the game goes something like this:

“Have you ever thought that everything you do could come against you? A group of teenagers led by Amy Cooper harassed a colleague in the Raiven’s High School. Shortly after, the victim couldn’t stand Bullying anymore and took the horrible decision of committing suicide and taking revenge from beyond the grave. In “You Deserve” you play the role of Amy Cooper, who must try to escape alive from the horrible place where she is. To save your life, you must discover “where are you” and “why”. Analyzing the clues that the game will present you throughout the story to solve the mystery surrounding You Deserve. This game is developed by TGA Company in collaboration with Raul Borreguero & Matias Aguilera.”

I have to say that “You Deserve” has done a really good job on the “scary/creepy” setting front with no doubt.

And from what I’ve been told, “You Deserve” is said to offer about 7-8 hours worth of gameplay. So “if” TGA picks the right price tag for “You Deserve”, then we could get quite a lot of jump scare value for our money. And judging from what I saw in the trailer for the game, there will be plenty of horrors and creepy moments in “You Deserve”. So I hope that I will get a chance to play and record some game play footage for the game in the near future (how many screams will it take before I reach the center of my worst nightmares?), and “hopefully”we might also get some Steam keys to give away to you boys and girls as well.
