I have kept something of a secret for the last couple of months. Long story short, I started to realize that something was going on with our Youtube channel in September of last year (2018).
It all started with Youtube’s decision to remove our trailer for Nutaku’s “Panties of rage” game, then in December of the same year (2018) Youtube took away the ability for us to make any money on new or old videos (Youtube also removed ALL of our lewd videos just a couple of days ago…).
Well, if we fas tforward to the know, just recently Youtube removed Nutaku’s whole Youtube channel (Youtube did that on the 19th of March this year, 2019).
So since I was already more than angry and fed up with Youtube’s bs. I decided to reach out to Nutaku for an interview about what happened to their Youtube channel.
Well, they agreed on doing an interview with us. So we ended up talking about a lot more than just Youtube and their censorship nonsense.
And with that said, please enjoy our interview with Nutaku =)

I’m going to start off this interview with a soft boll question. So, would you be so kind and introduce yourself to our readers?
Erica:
Of course! My name is Erica and I’m the PR and Marketing Lead at Nutaku.
Robin TGG
For those who don’t know what Nutaku is all about, could you tell us a bit about the company and how Nutaku came to be?’ (when, where, why and how).
Erica:
Nutaku.net is the largest game website in the world dedicated to providing free-to-play and downloadable titles to 18+ gamers. Nutaku was first created in 2015, and over the span of four years the platform has grown to be amongst the world’s top 300 websites, hosting over 200 adult titles.
Robin TGG
Now, for a ”little” harder question. On the 19th of March Nutaku tweeted out that their entire Youtube channel had been removed.
So could you perhaps tell us how all of that went down? What actions will you take against Youtube? (from what I understand, there are already people who intend to sue Youtube for similar actions against them) And what will you do now? (look for other alternatives to Youtube would be a good start).

Erica:
According to YouTube, Nutaku’s channel was taken down on the pretext that the channel did not conform with YouTube’s guidelines.
Currently, we are looking for other alternatives to host our latest trailers, videos, and more. Fans can stay tuned and check out Nutaku’s twitter, @nutakugames, for news and updates.
Robin TGG
I also got a follow-up question on the same topic, because if this happened to Nutaku (who had millions of views and tons of subscribers), then what says that Youtube won’t pull the plug on other people’s Youtube channels just because they got lewd trailers and gameplay videos?
In other words, there might be a whole another problem coming up on the Youtube horizon…

Erica:
It’s hard to say, I think only YouTube has the answers to how they vet channels and videos.
Robin TGG
What’s Nutaku’s take on censorship, creative freedom and freedom of speech in video games? And what do you think can be done to fight censorship especially when it comes to lewd games? (for example, both Sony and Valve are cracking down on lewd games on their platforms…).

Erica:
Good question, Nutaku has a strict compliance team that reviews every game before it goes live on our site. Also, our entire site is strictly 18+, as opposed to other platforms that cater to an all-ages audience, so we don’t really have the same issues surrounding censorship.
Robin TGG
Since things haven’t exactly gone down well over at Youtube, how have things been over at Twitch when it comes to streaming lewd games for both yourself and your fans/consumers?
Erica:
Fans can still catch Nordland on Twitch every Friday at 1PM EST for some SFW gaming action.
Robin TGG
I’m kind of curious to know if you look for talent or if talent finds you? I mean, do you have talent scouts that search for new and promising games and studios, or does all of that come to you most of the time?
Erica:
A bit of both! We have a team of scouts that attend gaming cons and are out there networking with game studios around the globe. We also have lots of studios reach out to us wanting to either adultify their game, or have a game that is already 18+ that they’d like to host on Nutaku.
Robin TGG
Is there anything that you could tell us in terms of upcoming titles that’s coming to Nutaku in the near future? If not, then perhaps you could tell us if you got any plans for already existing games on your platform?
Erica:
We can’t say too much, but we have a lot of exciting titles in the pipeline. Stay tuned!
Robin TGG
Which games have been the most successful and popular titles on your platform so far? And why do you think that is?
Erica:
Our most popular titles are Fap CEO, Crystal Maidens, Sacred Sword Princesses, Kamihime Project R, and Attack on Moe H. All of our games offer something different in terms of gameplay and content, so it really just depends on players’ preferences.
Robin TGG
Not too long ago Nutaku started to roll out erotic VR games on their platform. Well, how have things gone on the VR front? And will there be more lewd VR games via Nutaku in the future?
Erica:
Yes! We currently have 4 VR games, Love Vibe: Aria VR, Mandy’s Room, SexBot QA, and Elven Love: Naughty Rituals, with more projects in the pipeline.
Robin TGG
What has the response and feedback been like for game developers who sell their erotic games via your platform? And what has the response from your own community been like since you originally started?
Erica:
The feedback from game developers has been really positive. Many of them have had a difficult time finding success on the app store, or in launching their 18+ games on other platforms due to content restrictions. Nutaku is strictly 18+, so developers can rest assured that their titles will find success on our platform.
Robin TGG
Are there any limits at all when it comes to how lewd a game can be in-order to available via Nutaku? Or do you go by the “everything” goes rule?
Erica:
No, we don’t go by the “everything goes” rule. We have a compliance team that reviews our games before they are released on our platform.
Robin TGG
Is there any plans to roll out Nutaku on any other platforms than just PC and mobile? (Switch, PS4, Xbox One and so on).
Erica:
Not in the near future, but you never know!
Robin TGG
In which direction do you think lewd games will take us in the future? Do you think VR become a even bigger thing? Will erotic games be more popular in other genres than just visual novels, dating sims and RPGs? And so on.
Erica:
I definitely think we’ll continue to see advancements in VR, especially pertaining to adult gaming experiences. It’s likely we’ll start seeing erotic games become more popular in other genres, but I don’t think the coveted visual novels, dating sims or RPGs are going anywhere just yet. It’ll be exciting to see where the future takes us.
Robin TGG
As for my last question, what are your plans, hopes and expectations for the rest of the year? And is there something else that you would like to tell our readers?
Erica:
Our plans are to continue to grow our library of games, including our recently added LGBTQ+ section. We’ve recently revamped our merch store, so fans can expect more elevated swag along with some other exciting launches and news coming up in Q2 and Q3, stay tuned!
