Even though Windows 95 is over 20 years old (Microsoft released Win 95 back in August 24, 1995), there are still people how use the system to this very day. However, I had no idea that you could actually get Win 95 to run on Nintendo´s 3DS console. Well, now I know better. Because that´s exactly what the hardcore Gameboy fan shutterbug2000 achieved just recently (you can watch his video further down the page). And it didn´t take all that long before other 3DS users could pull off the very same stunt as shutterbug2000 did either, thus retrorampage37´s tweet about his successful attempt to run Win 95 on his 3DS console (as seen down below).
That´s way cool of course, but I hardly doubt that Win 95 is all that useful on the 3DS (I don´t even want to think about using Excel on the 3DS). Even so, I still would like to try what it´s like to run old PC games on the 3DS (Hexen goes 3DS anyone?). Keep this in mind though, in order to run Win 95 on the 3DS. You must own the latest 3DS console (N3DS 10.3), use menuhax and a grid launcher (the latest edition). And even if you manage to get Win 95 to work on your 3DS system, it´s still no guaranties (whatsoever), that Win 95 won´t look like an LSD rainbow nightmare from hell. You are free to give it a try though.
With that said, what´s your thoughts and opinions on this matter? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below!
