Way back in June Interactive Project released their slot car racing game “OverVolt” (think “Ignition” or “Micro Machines”) for the Windows phone (the game has been downloaded over 300K times to now).
Well, OverVolt was originally an exclusive title for the Windows phone platform. But only for three months.
So i´m very glad to inform you guys that OverVolt is heading to both iOS and Android! And if we´re lucky. OverVolt might just get released by the end of this month. So if you like mobile racing games, then you should keep your eyes open for OverVolt!
Which by the way has a 4.7/5 rating on the Windows Phone platform.
About OverVolt:
Remember the old days of slot car racing around the house, in the garage or wherever there was space enough to build a track? OverVolt brings people back to those days of summer holidays and challenges with friends on the tracks of miniature slot cars.
The game develops through a single player story of three worlds and thirty tracks of increasing difficulty.
In OverVolt there is also asynchronous multiplayer where gamers may challenge friends (or other game’s guests) without having to be there at the same moment the best out of three races wins the tournament! Multiplayer section of the game evolve around a series of six worlds and forty tracks.
The more the player proceed through the game more advanced cars the gamer will unlock while, he/she will have the chance to buy new stronger and more performing ones in the shop! Moreover the game gives the possibility to buy and use power ups to win the races! Four are the power ups usable in the game:
– Magnet: to lock the car for a limited time to the track and don’t let it fly out
– Nitro: there is a straight road? Perfect to gain speed (or to be used in combo with magnet)
– Rocket: to shoot the opponent out of the track
– Shield: to defend from opponents attacks
Very particular feature of the game is the chance to personalize the car texture by taking a picture. OverVolt will apply the picture taken on the car and allow games to play with it and/or share it on socials!”
