This has to be the best news that i´ve heard since i originally wrote this post. Yes, it´s true. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson are back as agent Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in X-Files. 20th Century Fox has even reviled the premiere date for the reboot of the beloved sci-fi/horror drama tv-series (which has 202 episodes in total to this day).

And the very first episode of the new X-Files season will premiere on January 24th (a Sunday), and episode two will follow the day after (Monday, January 25th).

I have waited since 2002 to hear this awesome news. The news that X-Files will get rebooted. But that time has finally arrived. And it´s 100% true.

Because Fox Mulder (David Duchovny, 54 years) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson, 46 years) is returning to the X-Files tv-series. Which 20th Century Fox hopes to reboot in the near future.

Fox Mulder and Dana Scully will soon be back in biz again.

And thank god for that. Because if you´re a fan of X-Files (like i am). Then you know more than well that the last X-Files episode got aired back in 2002 (May).

And i have watched X-Files since the very first episode was aired on Swedish tv back in 1993 (there´s 202 episodes in total).

Sure, there has been two full length X-Files movies between 1998 and 2008 (speaking of which, there “might” be a third X-Files movie in the making). Don´t get me wrong now, i like the movies.

But i like the tv-series even more. So i can´t wait to watch some new X-Files episodes.

But what do you guys think about all of this? And are you ready for a X-Files reboot?
