I don´t know if the Caulfield siblings remember me, but sometime last year I spoke to one of them and their PR-person (publisher?). Well, long story short. That´s how I heard about the “From Bedrooms to Billions: The Playstation Revolution” movie documentary. However, I haven´t heard a single word about the documentary for almost a year´s time now. So I was quite surprised when I found out that the Playstation Revolution documentary has a Kickstarter campaign (the documentary has already collected £10,000 out of 50,000! And there is still 29 days left on the campaign) and an official trailer as well (Nicola Caulfield and Anthony Caulfield are the driving force behind the documentary).

So what exactly is “The Playstation Revolution” then? Well, this is what the Kickstarter page states about the documentary:

“Welcome to our Kickstarter campaign to produce FROM BEDROOMS TO BILLIONS: THE PLAYSTATION REVOLUTION! A 90 minute feature documentary that will explore the influence of the Sony PlayStation and how it took video game development and the very way we experienced games to a whole new level, revolutionising the video games industry forever!” – Nicola Caulfield and Anthony Caulfield

That sounds really nice indeed. As I truly like the idea of having a 90-minute long documentary that will focus 100% on the birth of Sony´s Playstation console (the birth, the aftermath and its legacy). However, “The Playstation Revolution” documentary needs to collect £50,000 in-order to become a reality. And even though that´s quite a lot of money, I´m still pretty sure that Nicola Caulfield and Anthony Caulfield will reach their Kickstarter goal on time (the very same people who successfully collected £60,000 for their “From Bedrooms to Billions” documentary back in April, 2013).

So I wish Anthony and Nicola the best of luck on Kickstarter!
