The day that samurai jack fans have awaited is finally here starting in 2016! That’s right Samurai Jack is back with a new season and is looking to push the narrative of the original show. Genndy Tartakovsky always talked of a sequel to the original series, which was canceled in 2004 although it won four emmy awards during that time. For those unaware Samurai Jack follows the travels of a time displaced samurai fighting the ultimate evil known as Aku in the future.

Armed with a magical sword that can defeat Aku, he travels the lands lending a hand. He’s also quite capable of assisting others during his quest while trying to find and destroy Aku to return to his own time. What will be even more interesting is to see the new casting choices. While Phil Lamar is still prime, his counterpart Mako (which voiced Aku), has since passed away. Cartoon Network has been gearing up a lot of older shows for re-launch in late times, and no one’s complaining.
