Nickelodeon has been under pressure for a very long time now, and why is that? Simple, it´s because people have complained for years over the lack of good shows (mainly cartoon series). And you know what? I understand the critics more than well, since I’m one of those who have ranted about this in the past. In fact, I lost interest in Nickelodeon before I even became an adult. As I thought that Nickelodeon had become the “MTV of Cartoon channels” (trust me, that´s NOT a good thing). So I just quit watching Nickelodeon by the end of the 90s pretty much (as Nickelodeon no longer aired the shows that I used to love anymore), and I haven´t looked back since then. However, I should point out that most “Cartoon channels” are nothing more than pure rubbish nowadays (so it´s not just a Nickelodeon issue).

Yes, yes! Ren and Stimpy is back again!

I know that it´s a depressing read, but fear not! Because Nickelodeon has just announced that they will launch a brand-new cartoon channel called “The Splat.” And it´s 100% dedicated to 90s cartoons. And that mean´s everything from The Angry Beavers, CatDog, Count Duckula (I really LOVE that show), The Ren & Stimpy Show, Rocko’s Modern Life with many more! Sadly enough though, there is no word on when The Splat will start to air. Nevertheless, i´m hyped to the max.
