Halo: Nightfall is the new live action feature film based on the Halo franchise, introducing a new character, Jameson Locke, who will feature in the upcoming game, Halo 5, later this year.
Nordic 2015.03.17 – Halo: Nightfall tells the story of Jameson Locke, a legendary manhunter and agent with the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), Earth’s most powerful and secretive military branch. He and his team are investigating terrorist “chatter” on the distant colony world of Sedra, when they are caught in a terrible biological attack.
The project is helmed by Executive Producer Ridley Scott and Director Sergio Mimica-Gezzan, and stars the likes of Mike Colter, Christina Chong, Steven Waddington, and Luke Neal.
The Halo-universe is one of the world’s most popular franchises. It started with Halo:Combat Evolved in 2001 – since the critically acclaimed and record-shattering series of games has since developed into bestselling novels (on New York Times’ bestseller-list), comic books, action figures and various merchandise – and feature films.
Published by Microsoft Studios, the Halo-franchise of games is exclusive to Xbox platforms and Windows 8 PC’s, tablets and Windows 8 devices. To date, more than 60 million units of Halo-games have been sold worldwide, driving more than 6 billion hours of gameplay by people connected to Xbox live.
