I remember the Sonic the Hedgehog cartoon tv-series from the early 90s (which aired between 1993 to 1994), as i used to watch that show all the time as a little kid. And i have a slight memory about a short OVA series from 1996. But other than that, there has very few movies or tv-series based on the worlds fastest hedgehog Sonic.
Until Sony unviled that there´s a Sonic The Hedgehog movie (Van Robichaux, PG-13 movie) in the making back in June last year. But now (almsot one year later) there´s very little (to none) news and information about the “new” Sonic movie. That´s sad of course, but this might cheer some of you up at least.
Because earlier today i was informed about Chris Lee and Paul Storrie´s 7 minute long Sonic inspired movie “The hedgehog“. Which tells the story about a boy who loves to dress up as his favourite video game hero (guess there times who it is?). He also loves to daydream about adventures and to explore the open landscape of a suburban park, as it allows him to escape the disappointing reality.
And i have to say that i don´t regret that i watched “The hedgehog”. As it´s that kind of movie that makes you think a lot (even long after that the closing credits has rolled by on your computer screen). So I think that you guys/girls should give “The hedgehog” a chance as well =)
