There have been some pretty epic revelations for Star Wars day, Gwendoline Chriestie was confirmed as Captain Phasma and Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, but who will play the role of the Jedi in the movie?
[WARNING: POTENTIAL SPOILERS]
While we are speculating here, if you don’t want to know anything in advance about The Force Awakens you should stop reading here. While nothing is confirmed there is strong reason to believe that the character Rey played by Daisy Ridley is force sensitive and might become a Jedi eventually.
On the other hand there is the speculation that one or more of the main characters are from Luke’s family and as we know, the force is strong in his family, during the The Force Awakens Teaser #2 we see a light saber being handed to a woman at 0:54, also based on some Leaked Artwork from last year hint that this might be the case if the idea from this artwork carried onto the final script.
Will there be more than one Jedi?
Most likely, we already know Luke will appear in the movies and probably
Poe or Finn end up being force sensitive too, but for now the evidence shows that Rey is most likely to end up becoming a Jedi, and while this doesn’t guarantee that she’ll be the lead, so far the every protagonist on the Star Wars movies and most games has been a Jedi. My main in SWTOR was a female Sith Inquisitor, so I’m pretty much ok if a female Jedi ends up as the lead of the movie.
