It´s been over three years since Walt Disney released their smash-hit Wreck-It Ralph (which earned over $470 million in total at the box office). So it was about time that Wreck It Ralph 2 got announced (since the original got released back in 2013), and it´s all thanks to the actor John C. Reilly (who voiced Ralph in the movie). As Reilly spilled the beans over an interview with Penny Hart from RTE Arena (it´s an Irish radio program) just recently.

Yep, Wreck It ralph 2 is in the making.

That´s great news for the fans of course. However, John C. Reilly may be a part of Wreck-it Ralph 2, but there´s no word about Sarah Silverman (Vanellope), Jane Lynch (Calhoun) and Jack McBrayer (Felix) just yet. So it´s hard to tell at this point if they join the Wreck it Ralph 2 crew or not, well, I really hope so. As I enjoyed their characters (and voices) in the first movie.

Freaking awesome indeed.

So what´s known about Wreck-It Ralph 2 then? Besides the return of John C. Reilly I mean. Well, Rich Moore (the director of the original movie) has had discussions with Nintendo about adding some of their most beloved characters to Wreck-It Ralph 2 (Zelda, Mario, Link, Luigi). If that´s true, then it´s going to add a lot of “coolness” to the movie for sure. I´m also quite curious about a statement that Rich Moore made just recently, because according to Moore, Wreck-It Ralph 2 will focus a lot on console and online gaming. I see that as a positive thing, as it will probably give Moore a lot of room for creativity and fantasy with no doubt. Sadly enough though, there´s no release date for Wreck-it Ralph just yet.
