SUCCESSOR: Final Fantasy VIII Remixed celebrates 17th anniversary of the game’s release with unprecedented six-disc arrangement album

Seattle, Washington – February 11, 2016 – Materia Collective is thrilled to release the follow-up to last year’s hugely successful Final Fantasy VII Remixed album with SUCCESSOR: Final Fantasy VIII Remixed. This massive six-disc collection brings together over 150 composers, arrangers, YouTube personalities, and others who have prepared unique and imaginative interpretations of the beloved Final Fantasy VIII soundtrack originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu.

SUCCESSOR is officially licensed and available for digital download on Loudr, iTunes, Amazon MP3, and Google Play starting today, which marks the seventeenth anniversary of the game’s North America release:

“After our debut album MATERIA, choosing Final Fantasy VIII as a follow-up tribute album was the next logical choice, and aligning the release with the game’s release anniversary seemed poignant,” comments Materia Collective founder Sebastian Wolff. “Final Fantasy VIII is musically distinct, and its eclectic mix of music suited our diverse skillsets. We exist to connect artists, arrangers, composers, instrumentalists, vocalists, and other creatives who share a passion for video game soundtracks.
