If there´s one video game composer that i really love and respect, then it´s Jake “virt” Kaufman. Because he has created some really awesome soundtracks over the years.
Like Shantae, Contra 4, “Shovel Knight“, “DuckTales: Remastered”, and “Mighty Switch Force” for example. And this time, Jake might just have outdone himself.
I´m talking about his and Jessie Seely (Director, character designer, vocalist/lyricist) virtual reality music project “Nuren: The New Renaissance” (all made in Unreal Engine 4).
A project that is best described as a collection of music videos (made by a handful of super talented artists) that´s all presented in virtual reality (and each video has it´s own unique story as well).
Sounds great right? Well, yeah. But all this awesomeness comes at a price, $70,000 to be exact. Because that´s goal that “Nuren: The New Renaissance” needs to reach on Kickstarter, or else there will be no “Nuren” album.
So “if” you like the Kickstarter trailer, the concept for “Nuren” (and the PC demo for that matter), then show “Nuren” some love on Kickstarter!
About Nuren: The New Renaissance:
[NUREN] is a collection of music videos forming a feature-length story, presented in virtual reality. Unlike a traditional 3D movie, [NUREN] is rendered in real-time on your computer, so you can look in any direction, and see things happening all around you.
Each segment has its own unique artistic style, set to a gorgeous vocal music track, with voice-acted interludes tying them all together. Join the android twins, RIX and QGK, as they go from fugitives to heroes!
