I just realized that it’s been almost a year since we’ve written anything about Pixel Mixers and their fan-made video game music albums (don’t miss out on their Rayman tribute album “Harmony” and Metroid tribute album “Huntress”). So, yeah, I think it’s safe to say that it’s about time that we wrote a new post about Pixel Mixers.
Well, guess what? Just the other day I received a message Julien “Hashel” Rosir (the creator and producer for the video game arrangement community) that Pixel Mixers have launched a Final Fantasy VI tribute album called “World’s Requiem“:
“Hello! I’m Julien “Hashel” Rosir, the creator and producer for the Video Game Arrangement community, Pixel Mixers I’m contacting you because our community just released a huge Final Fantasy VI Tribute album called “World’s Requiem”. It features the full OST re-arranged by 71 musicians for a total of 3h 25min of music; the album is 100% fan-made and free) and it took us 9 months. I was wondering is there was any way you could help to spread the word about it?
I know it might be difficult as it’s fan-made content. Even if you can’t, if you ever take the time to listen to it, our community would love to know what you think about it! Here is the release trailer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I5VFEbGCy-o … And a small article I wrote on our website: https://pixel-mixers.com/2018/05/02/final-fantasy-vi-worlds-requiem-tribute-album/ … If you have any questions, I’d be happy to answer. Hope you have an excellent day!” – Julien “Hashel” Rosir
Other than that, I was also given the following information about the “World’s Requiem” album:
“This is a Tribute Album to FFVI Music, featuring all the songs from the Original Soundtracks, rearranged and interpreted by 71 musicians from the Pixel Mixers Community! 58 songs, for 3h 25 min of free music! We do not own any of those songs, they were all composed by Nobuo Uematsu for Final Fantasy VI OST, published by SquareSoft in 1994 for the SNES. This album features 3 “discs” called “Esper“, “Super Sanity” and “World’s Requiem“.”
In other words, you could download and enjoy Pixel Mixers Final Fantasy VI tribute album “World’s Requiem” right now =) (it’s 100% free!) And speaking of which, you can watch the “World’s Requiem” trailer further down the page. So, what do you guys and girls think about the “World’s Requiem” album?
